Unity 2.4.6 (135)

Cisco Unity TSP7.01

CCM 3.2(2c)

Unity is a four-port IP-only system...several issues recently started:

1. Garbled messages in Unity

2. Ports are locking up, mainly port 1, requiring a reboot of the system to resolve (short-lived) the issue.

Both of those problems can be the result of different causes. You could take a look at these docs that aid in the troubleshooting of problems like this...

1. Audio problems - (although the doc is 3.1.X based, there are still some applicable tips) http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps2237/prod_troubleshooting_guide_chapter09186a0080087146.html

2. Port Locks - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps2237/products_tech_note09186a0080094b7d.shtml

For the port lockups, you might want to try this document that lists the troubleshooting steps plus some potential DDTS you might be encountering.

For the garbled messages, are the actual voice messages garbled or is it the greetings? Is this happening for both internal calls (using IP Phones) and calls coming from outside like if you have a PSTN Gateway? What kind of codec are you using? Here is a good document about audio troubleshooting. http://www.cisco.com/warp/customer/788/AVVID/audio_decision.html
