Problem Storage group Unity 4.1

Good morning. Currently I have a Unity server installed on my network. Recently the staff of the Exchange mail server reinstall the server and configure 3 Storage Group, I have understood that Unity supports only 1 Storage Group. Do you have any idea if Unity can work with 3 Storage Group? Thanks for the help.

Just rerun the permissions wizard and select the new storage groups to give unity access to them.

Thank you for your prompt response. The problem is that we follow the steps given in the guide http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity/42/upgrade/guide/ex/ex.html. When trying to add the storage group only allows me to add 1, I can not add the 3 storage group we have.

All storage group are set up in only 1 exchange server.

Unless I am misunderstanding the question, you should be able to run the permissions wizard through the tools depot then verify the accounts used to connect to the exchange servers with the proper rights etc. Then you tell it which domains it will access as well, then later in the wizard you select the exchange server where the storage groups reside then click the little plus sign to expose the individual storage groups, put a check box in them and let the permissions wizard complete applying the correct permissions to them. What are you seeing when running the permissions wizard? What errors is it spitting out? Depending on what account you are using to apply permissions, verify that the account has the correct rights or it will fail while trying to apply permissions to the storage groups.

The problem is that we didn’t migrate Unity to new Exchange Server yet. To do this we use, as reference, the Reconfiguration Guide by Cisco where is explained how to use Cisco Unity Message Store Configuration Wizard. During the procedure we have to select which Message Store we want to use. But we can select ONLY one Message Store and client have 3 Messages Stores. How can we use another Message Store?

We need to allocate 3 Storage group in Unity.

Have you added the new Exchange server to the domain yet? If so, have you run the permissions wizard to see if Unity can see the new server? If I remember correctly the message store manager tells Unity what sort of mail store it will be homed to example, exchange 2000 or 2003 or 2007 for Unity 5.x and later. Is the new Exchange server to be the new partner server running a newer version of Exchange? Check this link out and see if any of it is helpful.

I know it says version 5 but it will say version 5 even when trying to find something on version 7.
