Problems adding paging as a speed dial button

I am having some problems adding a "Paging" extension to a speed dial button on a Cisco 7960 phone. the phone has a 7914 attached to it which is configured and running but when I add our paging extension to a speed dial button on the phone, it doesn't show up on the phone display. It works all all our other phones that do not have a 7914. Is there a reason why this wouldn't work on this reception phone with the 7914 attached? I have CME 3.3.

Try type "7960 addon 1 7914" under ephone. When adding just one 7914 to the 7960, the main phone system would have 20 lines. And you can daisy chain more than one 7914 off another

It has been my experience that when adding a 7914 to a 7960, speed-dial's get put at the end of the 7914, and no longer on the phone at all. So if you wanted to put a paging speed-dial on the phone, you would need to move a few things off of the 7914 and onto the phone itself, to make room at the end of the 7914 for your speed-dials.
