We have a customer that would like to use their own hardware to run several CUCM and CUC servers. I have downloaded and verified that they have the necessary hardware to support such a solution, however, I am unaware what steps need to take place so that we can get them built and have confidence that Cisco will support the offering when complete. Any suggestions or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Cisco does not have a certification process prior to implementation. If you require assistance from TAC and they discover you are not in compliance with the 3rd party specs guidelines, they will require you to remediate the environment before receiving further assistance.

Hey Kelli, I am actually looking to find out what needs to happen if a customer is looking to put CUCM, CUC, etc. on their own servers and not TRC hardware. What allows the customer the ability to call TAC? Does the 3rd party hardware setup need “blessed” by Cisco or just make sure you have enough resources and give it a go???
