Question on converting Cisco7960 to an SIP Phone

I read about converting the Cisco7960 to an IP Phone and it said to place the following required files.

- OS79XX.TXT

- P003-07-2-00 bin files (together with other

filesthat comes with it when downloaded from

the CCO )

- SIPDefaultGeneric.cnf

I placed this in the TFTP Root Directory and I get an error which it seems tha the phone is requesting the SEPXXXXXXX.cnf.xml . Am I missiung out on something ?

Did you do the following step

With a text editor, rename the file SIPConfigGeneric.cnf to SIPmac_address.cnf, for each phone (for example,

with the mac address of the IP phone.

SIP002094D245CB.cnf).
