VoIP calls with H.235 Security enabled

Hello,

We are testing Cisco VoIP equipment in a configuration with other vendor's CPEs and Gateways.

We are aware that Cisco uses the MD5 algorithm for hashing cryptotokens in enabling H.235 security.

The equipment we have does not support this; instead they support only the SHA-1 algorithm.

Is this algorithm supported in Cisco devices? Or they use only the MD5.

P.S: Our devices : Cisco 1750/1760 (VoIP GWs)

Cisco 3640 (Gatekeeper)

Thank you.

You can have a look into the document which is about IP Telephony Security Operations Guide to Best Practices.
