remote access to ICS7750

I was able to connect a modem to my ICS7750 (on COM 1 on the SPE) and, thru terminal services, could remotely access the Call Manager configuration program. The problem is, the highest speed I can achieve is 9600 baud. Depending on how many changes I have to make in Call Manager, it would be quicker for me to drive to a deployment site 3 hours away rather than wait for the screens to download at 9600 baud. Anyone had any luck with faster speeds? Are faster speeds even possible short of having a RAS server on the same network?

why not set up an nt4 or 2000 box as a vpn server? or in the firewall nat to the internal ip of the ccm and only allow 3389? or allow 3389 to another 2k server and ts from there. i would do the driving otherwise.
