Ring on Second Line of IP Phone

CCM 3.2(3)sr3

Our users always has 2 lines: e.g.

Line 1:1001(call-waiting off, and busy go to line 2, voice mail if no answer)

Line 2:1001(call-waiting off, voice mail if busy or no answer)

Now, the users complaint about only "1 beep" if second call comes in. He or she is on line 1.

They want concurrently beep every 5 or 10 sec, or just ring on the phone.

Is there anyway to do it??

Couple of ways to go here:

1. To set this on a phone by phone basis, you can to do a phone in ccmadmin page > click on the Directory Number > scroll to bottom of screen. There is a drop down box next to "Ring Setting (Phone Idle)". It defaults to "Use System Default", which is to beep once on an incoming call. You can change this to Ring, Ring Once, Flash, etc. Reset the phone and your good to go.

2. To change the "System Default" so you won't have to change this setting on each phone, go to ccmadmin > Service > Service Parameters > Select Publisher > Select CallManager Service > Click Advanced > then go to the setting "Ring Setting of Busy Station*". It defaults to "Beep Only", change this to "Ring Once". Reset all the phones and your set.

I did not see any of your solutions in my ccmadmin page.

I think you might use 3.3, and we are in 3.2

you can go to Device>Phone....search the phone in question and then on "Line 2" which will take you to Directory Number Configuration Page for Line 2. At the bottom you will find Ring Settings (Phone Idle) and Ring Settings (Phone Active)...In the drop down box for Ring Settings (Phone Active) select Ring which will make the phone ring when there is a second call coming in.

Ok guys, the features you guys are talking about are in CCM 3.3.

I am in 3.2. I guess I have no luck.
