Scripting DMP restart

I am investigating the possibility of scripting the process of initiating a reboot of a DMP (4400G running 5.3). This is intended for our helpdesk staff to aid in troubleshooting without giving them access to the DMM or DMP directly. Ideally the analyst would launch the script and enter in the IP address of the DMP they are working on and then it execute the reboot system task on that player.

Does anyone know if this has been done to a degree, or could be accomplished?

We've set up a basic web page with a link or form action to do a reboot. Here's the URL format for rebooting the DMP.

https://username:password@ip.address/set_param?mng.reboot=1

You can always authenticate your users on the page level.
