SMDI UNITY-> PBX

I have noticed that most of the integrations with SMDI have mentioned either using a VG200 which is EOL in a couple of months or a 6624. I realize the reason for this is because we need to use MGCP because H323 does not work with SMDI integrations and at the time the VG200 was the only box capable of MGCP. My question is if we are integrating UNITY with a PBX we should really be in a FXO scenarion correct? Because the PBX usually supplies analog station ports to us and we terminate to a dialogic board or a gateway with FXO's using MGCP. Has anyone integrated UNITY to a PBX were the PBX set up trunk ports as the analog connectvity and we provided the analog dialtone?

We have done many Unity - PBX integrations, you are correct with the Dialogic boards (fxs) they connect to trunk ports on the PBX. If the PBX has and SMDI port then your all set, if not, you will need the PBXLink componant to convert Digital set signalling to SMDI.

Hope this helps.
