I was working on a small ccm 4.0.2 installation last night and wanted to test the failover when the subscriber goes down. I did this by shutting down the switch ports used by the subscriber. I did this a number of times and it took between 70 - 90 seconds for the phone to register with the backup and give me dial tone.
I adjusted the Station KeepAlive Interval (sec) service parameter from 30 seconds down to 10 seconds without any improvement.
I notice a setting on the device pool called Connection Monitor Duration but I can't find any information on what it does so I didn't mess with it.
This is a small installation with two callmanagers and about 75 phones.
Any suggestions on how to speed this up?
