SSO for Jabber when in MRA (windows/android/iphone

Hello everyone,

I am trying to enable SSO for Jabber while in MRA and I found the following in this document https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/expressway/config_guide/X8-10/Mobile-Remote-Access-via-Expressway-Deployment-Guide-X8-10.pdf:

The Expressway supports two types of OAuth token authorization with SAML SSO:

- Simple (standard) tokens. These always require SAML SSO authentication.

- Self-describing tokens with refresh. These can also work with Unified CM-based authentication.

The second option specifies that one prerequisite for it is "Cisco Jabber for iPhone and iPad iOS 11.9"but the first option (standard tokens) only says "Cisco Jabber 10.6 or later". What I'm not sure is what exactly Cisco Jabber 10.6 or later refers to. Is this the windows client, the clients on any platform as long as 10.6 or later or possibly something else?

The main problem is that I would not be able to deploy the second option due to being an CUCM 10.5 with no possibility of an upgrade anytime soon, but I could use the first option as long as it covers all the platforms (windows/ios/android)

Could anyone help clarify this?

Regards,

Hunor
