Here is the Release-Note:
Symptom:
Ports page of the Status Monitor may show a Registry entry rather than the current status of the port.
Condition:
The problem arises when the Unity installation does not include language of the base OS, and the browser has selected the base OS language.
Workaround:
Select the Unity language in their browser language settings. For example, going into browser preferences, and moving en-us to the top of the list where en-us is the base OS language will fix the problem.
Are you working with multiple languages?

I'm not working with multiple languages (only English-UK). I ran the 3.0(2) upgrade patch (which initially prompts for English-US) to upgrade my 3.0(1) CD images, then ran setup from those images and selected English-UK all the way through from there as normal.
In my browser I only have UK English (en-gb). I'll try US English (en-us).
I think the base OS is US (this shouldn't affect anything else in Unity should it?).
It's all Dutch to me...
