Stuck on "Configuring IP" after switch is rebooted

Hi,

Out of 1000 phones we get a random 10 or so that get stuck on this after we reset our switches. If we pick up the handset, press some keys and put the phone on-hook again it completes about 2-3 minutes later; but otherwise it would stay like this forever.

We are running PhoneLoad P0030500300 - it also happens to some phones if the Primary Server goes offline.

Any ideas?

Hi,

I had a problem with 7910's and the 3550 switches doing this.It turned out to be the switch locking out the port.We added the command no err-disable or something similiar to the 3550's
