Hello All,

SX10 snapshot is off. When I on it, required LOCALONLY role. What is LOCALONLY role?

Hello,

You are likely running software prior to 7.2.x on your SX10. If this is the case you can only enable websnapshots using a serial connection to the SX10.

Connect to SX10 with Serial Connection:

• You will need a USB Cable (USB to Micro USB)
• Connect with a baud rate 115200, 8, 1, none
• To get the USB connection working you need to download the CP210x driver from Si Labs:
  • http://www.silabs.com/products/interface/usbtouart/Pages/usb-to-uart-bridge.aspx
• login as the admin user
• Enter the following command:
  • xConfiguration Video AllowWebSnapshots: On

Once you do this you should be able to view web snapshots from the web interface.

You could also upgrade to 7.2.x or later and then you can enable this from the web interface like you were trying to do. That may be the easier method.

You are likely running software prior to 7.2.x on your SX10. If this is the case you can only enable web snapshots using a serial connection to the SX10.

If you're SX10 is running anything below TC7.2, web snapshots isn't supported at all, and can't be enabled.  You'll have to upgrade to TC7.2, the first TC release web snapshots were supported, then you can use the SSH or the web interface to enable the feature.  However, starting with TC7.3.3, you'll be required to obtain a option key to enable the feature all together, without the required option key, the web snapshots feature won't be present, even if it was enabled prior to TC7.3.3.
