Hi All,
We have a SX80 failing to register. I would like to know what ports are used for the initial registration. I have verified port 5060 is fine as well as the routing to the call manager. The call manager does not stay onsite as we are a remote site. Any suggestion or solution would be much appreciated.
SIP is the default registration protocol.

Hi,
Please check that you are able to ping the codec IP from cucm by using " utils network ping <ip addr>" command from cucm cli.
Make sure port 6970 is open , phones use TFTP port 69.
Ensure the codec is pointing to correct TFTP server.
Some more pointers here

Hi Manish,
Thanks for the reply. The endpoint (SX80) can be pinged from the main office. Port 6970 is open. i tried opening port 69 to the CUCM but that failed. With regards to registration only im sure port 69 will not be needed?
We have 2 units at a different site registering fine. No changes have been made to the endpoints on my side as well. It only our service provider that messed up the routing and then resolved the routing. I have confirmed routing is fine as well.

It would be ideal if you can collect a packet capture from cucm while the SX80 is trying to register, steps in the following doc
https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/65651/communications-manager-rtmt-trace-locations-cli
This will show which packets are making it to the cucm from SX80.
