We keep getting Temp Fail messages on my phone, while trying to setup my voicemail box. Any ideas?

I believe a firmware upgrade is usually the solution for this problem.. What version CCM are you using?

In my experience I saw alot of these temp fail messages on the IP Phones when we were experiencing a infrastructure problem (spanning tree / routing combination).
How was the health of the network during this situation? What versions are you running?

This is an older post but I wanted to add some additional knowledge in case someone else is experiencing this problem.
I got "Temp Fail" messages when trying to setup voice-mail boxes during a training session. I had several users doing the same at once.
Determined problem was that with CM 3.3X the voice mail ports were originally created with "Call Waiting" turned ON. If one user was in setting up their voice mail and another user tried to access voice mail.. it would go and ring the first port. Eventually the voice mail port would reset.. and the first caller would be disconnected from the voice mail system and get "Temp Fail" on their phone.
After searching it was determined that it is a known bug that was fixed by applying the latest CM service pack then basically deleting and recreating the voice mail ports (which when recreated were created with the proper NO Call Waiting flag).
