Is there a way to transfer an external caller to the voice mail system so the user can check his-her voice mail without having to dial directly into the system?
Thanks

I would have an half idea:
should create a parallel dial plan(i.e if your
DN goes from 400 to 499 )create a dial plan from 600 to 699.
each user call his parallel number and
using inbound dial peer you should perform a
digit manipulation on the caller ID and sent this call to the voice mail
for example in my office i have extension 411
from outside i call 611!the GW receive the call and sent it to VM with caller ID 411.
Maybe VM seeing an Caller ID equal prompts for inserting username and password?
It's just an idea(i'm not user it can work out) and problably will exist an easier way

In Unity ,create a new Callhandler with number 1234
In CCM, create a new CTI route for 1234 to transfer to Unity.
The CallHandler can have a greeting to say "To log into your mailbox, press * (which would be sign in)
Caller is transfered to 1234, call handler plays greeting, external caller enters in extension and password/pin.
