We changed the T1/PRI card the other night. After reconfiguring the gateway on Call manager to match the new card outbound calls were not allowed, but inbound calls were. After checking the CCM configuration we attempted to point the rout group to the new gateway, The new gateway was not in the drop down list. After several attempts to reconfigure CCM to get the new gateway in the drop down list we threw in the hat. To resolve the outbound call issue we changed each route pattern to point to the new gateway. Any ideas why this may have occurred and a resolution?

A gateway wont show in the drop-down list for any route groups if there is a route pattern pointing directly to the gateway. I would make sure none of the route patterns point to the gateway directly, then try again. It should work.

I understand that. When we were trying to find the gateway in the drop down box all of the route patterns were still pointed at the route group.

How many route groups do you have? Make sure that the gateway isnt in any other route groups.
