I have set up a 7940 with windows sip proxy. In this is I am able to make outgoing calls, but unable to receive any incomming calls. The caller gets the ring on their end, but it does not ring on my end.
Looking forward to your suggestions.

Check the bug - CSCea20477 for Call Manager issues of receiving calls in 7940
and also check the below link for one way audio

I am using Microsoft SIP proxy for making calls. Also i am not having 1 way switching. The problem i am having is that i am able to make outgoing calls, however when someone calls me, they get a ring tone, but the 7940 ip phone doesn't actually ring.

I'm afraid I don't know much about Microsoft SIP Proxy. How is the caller routing the call to you? Is he referencing your phone by IP or by an identifier registered with some directory service?
It sounds to me like a call routing issue.
