Greetings-
Unity 3.0 Install with Exchange 2000.
Symptom: can leave voice mail messages for users but can't retrieve the voice mail messages. In fact, after leaving a voice mail for a user, the user accesses unity and is told that there are no new messages. strange part is that at one point it was working and now has suddenly stopped.
Potential factors: Unity 3.0 server is also PDC.
Progress: Case C277343 and over 8 hours of conference call/remote terminal services support from TAC, AVVID Team/Unity Development Team.
Status: since we also cannot even send an email between exchange users, the problem appears to obviously be more of an exchange problem than strictly unity. thus, we have now gone to microsoft for support.
F'd Up part: customer only has exchange due to purchasing unity. thus, there is no support contract with microsoft. meaning, that all support from microsoft is being paid for out-of-pocket.
if anyone has delt with this issue and has insight to a resolution, please post a response or email me @ rob@net3corp.com. for obvious reasons, time is of the essence. customer is live and cannot retrieve any voice mail.
thanks,

Often times complex troubleshooting issues are best addressed in an interactive session with one of our trained technical assistance engineers. While other forum users may be able to help, its often difficult to do so for this type of issue.
To utilize the resources at our Technical Assistance Center, please visit http://www.cisco.com/tac and to open a case with one of our TAC engineers, visit http://www.cisco.com/tac/caseopen
If anyone else in the forum has some advice, please reply to this thread.
Thank you for posting.

Yes this does seem like an MS exchange issue. Given you cannot exchange emails with one another there are a few questions
1. Are there any errors on the server for exchange?
2. Are the Unity attributes added in exchange under the site?
3. What errors are there when you cant send mail, what behavior are you seeing?
