Unity Licensing and Separate Exchange Servers

Hi,

If you purchase Unity and say 1000 Voicemail-only users and wish to use an external Exchange server to store voicemail messages, can the special Exchange Server license that ships with Unity be used to license the external Exchange installation?

In other words, is the special version of Exchange that ships with Unity able to be installed on a separate server without purchasing a new Exchange server license.

yes, the license agreement with Microsoft allows for this as long as there are no users on that Exchange installation that get their messages through any means other than the phone interface or via VMI. No mail users should be homed on that Exchange server that get their messages by connecting using any other client at all.
