Is there any way to change what exchange mail box that a unity subscriber is using without recreating the subscriber?

Can you be more specific about your scenario

I will try to explain this as simple as possible

Subcriber name Joe Doe

exchange mailbox alias jdoe

We change the way exchange is set up so the alias changes to john doe. To the subscriber acount is pointing to the wrong alias. it is point to jdoe instead of john doe. The only way I know how to redirect the the subscriber is to delete the subscriber and make a new one and point it to the new exchange box.
