I need to propose a Voice Mail setup (to be used with the CallManager) for 100 users. I plan to propose "Unity Voice Messaging, 100 users (includes 8 sessions)".
Just want to check if DID can be configured as follows:
1. DID configured in such a way that people from PSTN can dial the 7-digit number, and the CallManager would route the call to the corresponding 5-digit extension.
2. Want to check if Unity will consume one or two ports/license in case DID is also used for the numbers.
For example:
If someone dials me from outside on my DID number (5279309), and I"m not available, the call should be transfered to the Voice Mail.
Also, if someone dials my extension (x79309) internally, and I'm not available, the call should be transfered to the Voice Mail.
Will it only consume a single license/port on unity.
Thanks,

As far as Unity would be concerned, the subscriber would only be using 79309, so only one user license would be consumed.
The Call Manager would handle the DID routing between the 7 digit and 5 digit numbers.
As far as Unity voice ports go, this really has no bearing. On a 12 port system, you could have up to 12 calls coming in at once. All to the same extension, or to different extensions, but no more than 12 at one time.

Yes it will only use 1 license. This is where we started with 100 users license with 8 sessions. It has worked great for us.
