I'm having trouble upgrading an ATA186 to version 2.15. I'm using the executible instead of the TFTP server. I've followed the steps and everything seems to go alright. The ata186 response with "upgrade complete" but if you do 123# form the handset it says 2.14 and the web interface also show v2.14. Has anyone else had problems with this?
Thanks

SO you entered a static IP address from the web interface, and you ran the executable, then you picked up the handset and entered the IP address manaully, right ? Then it says Upgrade complete, then you manually reset the ATA. Pull the power adaptor out of the back of the unit, then check its version via the voice menu 123# or the GUI.
Are you sure the file is for the 2.15 version? DId you get the file from Cisco?

Yes, except that I'm using DHCP since the ata186 is not in production yet. I downloaded the ata186 upgrade from Cisco's web site - ata18x-v2-15-ms-020927a.zup. I've upgraded the ata186 to 2.14 and had no problems, but 2.15 is having a time with me.

Are you using a callmanager 3.2 ??? If so check what image is set for the ATA in device defaults. If the ata talks to the CM and it has another load for the ATA, the ATA gets that load with TFTP. Put the new load on the TFTP server of the CM and try again.
