i have a transmission link via fibre-optic b/w two states carrying 8E1s.I'm trying to bundle them together using multilink ppp.Did all the config on the routers at both ends, when i did a show run on the multilink interface, its still shows that it is down, but the e1 controllers are up and running. If you need to look at the configs, i wouldnt mind sending them to you.

Have you conifigured the following:

1.E1 controllers

2.Bandwidth on all Serial interfaces.

3.Virtual template and

4.Loopback interface.

Especially the virtual template and the loopback interface has to be configured with great care. Please refer to the following sample configuration for more details.
