VG310 Pulse Dialing

Hi all,

I have an issue with an VG310 gateway. We connected an old "dialing device" (I have no idea how it is called in English), basically it calls an array of phone numbers if it detects some kind of disruption on external sensors.

But I just don't get it to work. When I connect a plain analog phone to the FXS port it works fine.

In the debugs (enclosed) I see  that the "dialing device" goes Off-Hook and a few seconds later it goes back to On-Hook without sending any digits.

I suspect that the device could be using pulse dialing. I already used pulse-digit-detection in the config of the FXS port.

Is there something else I have to configure to support devices that use pulse dialing? Or did I miss something else?

The VG310 is using MGCP to a Call Manager 11.5.

Thanks!

This might be a silly question, but how old is "old"?  The reason I am asking is it possible that the device uses ground start instead of loop start?  You mention this in the config:

Have you tried changing it to ground start to see if the dialing device will get tone?

Hi,

I think it is about 20 years old. I actually did try ground start but without any luck.

My perception from the debug output was the device gets an dial tone but the gateway does not revive digits.
