i have a question about a 7960 rebooting every 20 minutes or so over a vpn connection. i have a vpn tunnel between a linksys box and a vpn 3005. the tunnel comes up fine, i can ping the call manager fine and the phone works great, the problem is that the phone reboots every 20 minutes or so. it comes back but i was wondering if anyone else has seen this problem or might have any suggestions. i have the tunnel sending keep alives and from what i can see it stays up fine. thanks

Often times complex troubleshooting issues are best addressed in an interactive session with one of our trained technical assistance engineers. While other forum users may be able to help, its often difficult to do so for this type of issue.

Do you have the Network Media Type?Ethernet port negotiation mode set to Auto ? Try setting to 100 Full or whatever your switch port is.

Hi,
Every 20 minutes, Hmmm I'll look at your lifetime configured on the cisco 3000 concentrator. Ipsec phase I and phase II rekey when defined lifetime expires.
check if its set to 1200 sec and increase to a larger value or also you may be using lifetime value in kB which mean the tunnel is rebuilt when the traffic over the vpn tunnel reaches the set value in KB
Hope it helps

I'm interested in how you set this up and how you are handling the QoS issues. Can you email me at bryan.chung@hp.com
Thanks.
