VTSP-3-DSP_TIMEOUT error

hello all- getting the following errors on a 3745, ios v12.2(8r)T2, FXO/FXS cards:

Mar 14 08:41:23: %VTSP-3-DSP_TIMEOUT: DSP timeout on channel 3/0/1 (394), event

0x6: DSP ID=0x21: DSP error stats (call mode=0)

Mar 14 08:41:25: %C542-1-NO_RING_DESCRIPTORS: No more ring descriptors on Foreig

n Exchange Office 3/0/0. Msg id=28, Len=8

cisco's site only talks about the AS5300, a forum search basically suggests a reload (which we cannot do during biz hours). any ideas?

We have had this problem before, on fxs ports with fax machines. We noticed it after an upgrade from really old code (12.1something) to 12.3(2)T1. TAC found a bug, told us to upgrade to 12.3(4), but we had CM version 3.2.2c and did not want to push the compatibility matrix, in case of other trouble. We ended up going to 12.2(13)T09, since that had the dspware fix that the 12.3(4) had, fix was not in the 12.2(15)T stuff. We never managed to clear one of these without a reload, tried many things.

fyi: these ports are for voice only and have been in operation for over a year w/o problems; there have been no changes recently.

Maybe you will be lucky and it will be that once in a blue moon type thing, we have the occasional dsp just go out to lunch, and never have a problem again, after reload - or, for one particularly stubborn hang, reload did not do it but power cycle did.

we did a reload and this appeared to correct the error
