I need the ability to pipe 26 live multicast audio streams and allow users to listen to them from their phones either via a service on the phone or by dialing a number.
I was thinking what if I just took some audio hardware like usb/firewire based audio interfaces with a total of 26 interfaces, then used IP multicast audio streaming software to generate the streams.
Can I just them write an IP phone service to allow the user to select a stream and listen to it? Or is the format most IP Multicast audio streaming packages generate not the same as to what the phone natively listens to?
