Way to listen to 26 multicast audio streams?

I need the ability to pipe 26 live multicast audio streams and allow users to listen to them from their phones either via a service on the phone or by dialing a number.

I was thinking what if I just took some audio hardware like usb/firewire based audio interfaces with a total of 26 interfaces, then used IP multicast audio streaming software to generate the streams.

Can I just them write an IP phone service to allow the user to select a stream and listen to it? Or is the format most IP Multicast audio streaming packages generate not the same as to what the phone natively listens to?

If you have G.711 RTP stream going out over multicast, then just use the RTPMRx: command for the phone to make it listen correctly:

You gotta read this though to really do what you want to do right
