Does anybody know what's the ATA 2? I was aware of the ATA-186 only; but from time to time, someone mentions the ATA 2... the Cisco site has nothing about it.

they might be referring to the ATA186-2 (the US version is ATA186-1) - actually that oversimplifies it since there are no doubt uses for the 186-2 in the US i guess - for us we needed the -1 - it's a diffference in complex and simple ohms on the impedance as far as i know between the models...
i think the 186-2 is probably for Europe or something...
