Active/Standby Data Centers with the same IP adressing

Hello The community,

We need to deploy a DC in a different region where we want to keep same the IP addressing (IP addresses, subnets, net masks and GWs) for server farms only.

The need for that is we will have VMWare infra replication between 2 sites keeping the same configuration regarding IP addresses.

If one DC fails, the second one will take care of traffic without changing URLs to access applications. About the routing on branches, we need to manage it with metrics once one DC is unavalaible, the traffic is routed to the second.

Can you have any guidance about the concern as described above, please?

I would suggest to contact Local Cisco partner for the solution to build, its not as easy as expected in simple Active/Standby, this is required some understanding how your network designed now, what required to tweak to get best of the DC network as you looking target reaching your goal.  some resources to help you below :

You need to draw a little diagram and make understaning failover scenarios.
