Change ports type on module N55-M16UP

I have a N5K-C5596UP with almost all 96 ports in use, there is a 16 ports module (N55-M16UP) configured all ports as FC type, I need to change some ports to ethernet type in the module, for doing this have to reload, can I just reload module without loosing conectivity with the 96 ports of the chassis??

If I configure ports as I need on module, and use the commands:

- poweroff module 2

- no poweroff module 2

Can this solve my problem??  I won't loose connectivity??

The fixed 48 ports, as well as the other expansion slot ports are not impacted; the one expansion slot where you did the change are of course disrupted.
