Help troubleshooting Nexus1000V

Hello all,

We have a Nexus1000V in our environment which all of a sudden began logging the following (the full log is attached).

2017 Feb 23 16:04:22 KKNX2 sysmgr[1306]: %SYSMGR-3-SERVICE_TERMINATED: Service "Extensible API Engine" (PID 3369) has finished with error code SYSMGR_EXITCODE_SYSERR (1).
2017 Feb 23 16:54:24 KKNX2 sysmgr[3373]: %SYSMGR-3-CORE_OP_FAILED: Core operation failed: copy_log_files_tmpfs: popen returned NULL
2017 Feb 23 16:54:24 KKNX2 sysmgr[3373]: %SYSMGR-3-CORE_OP_FAILED: Core operation failed: core_client_main: mcore script returned -1.

After a while

2017 Feb 23 16:54:55 KKNX2 redun_mgr[2500]: %REDUN_MGR-4-CTRL_COMM_STATUS_DOWN: Control Connectivity is DOWN with Secondary VSM for 8 seconds. Starting heartbeats on Mgmt Interface

and the VEMs were removed.

I would appreciate your help in determining what caused the VSMs to stop communicating.I cannot find an explanation for the log messages.

Is the removal of the VEMs normal behavior if the VSMs cannot communicate?

I don't know the answer.  I wonder if the disk is full.  Does it have a 3GB disk?

Hello Philip!

It does have a 3GB disk. Unfortunately I cannot find the root cause of the problem.
