HyperFlex HX Data Platform subscription

Hi,

The HX Data Platform, is purchased on an annual subscription model or 2 or 3 years 

so that means I have to  purchase the HX Data Platform every year or 2 or 3 years from cisco ? and what will happen if not purchase ? does my data will loss?

instead VSAN license is forever

Anyone got to know the answer about this? We are trying to renew the HXDP license but we want it to be in the next fiscal year and we will loose around 8 days if we go this route.
