KVM: Auth failure

In a UCS 220 M3 server I continue to get Authorization failure when trying to use the KVM through the CIMC. The user is set for admin rights. I have tried creating another user and giving them user rights and admin rights but still get the same results - KVM: Auth failure. Any suggestions?

what Java version are you using? does this happen no matter what PC is used? Are all those PCs using the same java version?

-Kenny

I have two new UCS 220 M3 servers I am trying to set up with the same results. I tried three different laptops with the same results also. Two are running java 1.7.0_76-b13  and the third is running Java 1.7.0_67-b01. I went through the Cisco KVM troubleshooting guide - 115958-ucsm-kvm-troubleshooting-00 to no avail. When trying to download the KVM.zip I get a 404 - file not found.

What Web browser are you using? And is there any firewall blocking the KVM ports?

-Kenny

I tried Firefox and Explorer to no avail and the firewall was turned off on each of the machines. I made an exception in the firewall for the port 2068 described in the kvm troubleshooting guide by Cisco and turned the firewall on but still no difference.

If you enable Java logging, what do you see? Do you have more than one Java version installed or just one?  I have seen issues when there is more than one Java version installed causing conflicts.

Here is the logging output:

There doesn't seem to be anything of interest there.

I am running only one version of Java.

Is it possible for you to try Java 7 u21?  I have seen that version always works... by the way, what is the CIMC version you are running?

-Kenny

I'll see if I can put the Java 7 u21 on the machine today and try it.

I have the 2.0 (3d) version of CIMC on the UCS servers.

Well I finally got to get back to this problem but the Java 7u21 still does not work. I did get different results however. I got a message box that said "The session timed out waiting for verification of the certificate. All the connections will be closed."

The Java console looks the same however.

The logs for the CIMC did not show the auth fail message however.
