Dear all,
I need to upgrade the existing version _5.1(3)N1(1) to the latest stable version.I found following IOS .
7.0(8)N1(1)<---stable recommended by cisco
5.2(1)N1(9a)<--intermediate
Therefore my upgrade path was
5.1(3)N1(1)------>5.2(1)N1(9a)------>7.0(8)N1(1)
After uploading I just checked the compatibility and the impact as follows(without installing IOS)
sw#show install all impact kickstart bootflash:n5000-uk9-kickstart.5.2.1.N1.9a.bin system bootflash:n5000-uk9.5.2.1.N1.9a.bin
Verifying image bootflash:/n5000-uk9-kickstart.5.2.1.N1.9a.bin for boot variable "kickstart".
[# ] 0% -- FAIL. Return code 0x4045001E (mismatch between actual image type and boot variable).
Pre-Upgrade check failed. Return code 0x40930011 (Image verification failed).
Why this is happening??If I go 5.2(1)N1(5) it is fine.But then from there I cannot go to 7.0(8)N1(1)
I need expertise's advice.
