Hi all,
I have recently powered on my new Nexus 5596UP. Haven't done much config, but restartet it twice. The third time, it won't start up.
It comes to the loader> prompt.
Trying to do dir bootflash: og dir usb1: says Error 30: invaldig argument. It looks like it doesn't know about the bootflash or usb.
I tried setting IP and GW, and issue boot tftp://ip-address-to-tftp-server/kickstart-filname-here, but it doesn't start downloading the kickstart bin file.
Any ideas what causes this problem?

I checked in my lab Nexus 5500 which does not have card in its USB drive and see the same error. Can you try doing just a "dir"? and boot?

Your switch sees this
loader> dir
slot0: <<<-----
My lab switches see this
loader> dir
bootflash: <<---
I do not even see a slot0: Looks like you might need a replacement.

Funny this one. I opened a case with our vendor. They came onsite, and did the same commands that I had done earlier.
I had also tried power it off/on in different ways. When my vendor did the same, it startet with normal boot sequence and load software and config. Now it runs ok. I have even rebooted it a couple of times after this, and now it seems to be working fine. Expensive troubleshooting from my vendor there :-(
