Hello,
we are currently testing 100Gbps with Nexus 5696. There is a N5696-M4C module with a CXP100G-SR10 transceiver.
The transceiver and modul will be recognized. We see the transceiver is sending on both sides (TX counts) but no RX packets (on both sides).
For testing this is only a point-to-point connection between the two nexus 5696.
The cable is a standard MPO cable. Is there any special specification for connection? (cross, straight..)
Thanks
Udo

Hi Luke;
If you see on both switches the transceiver & module are recognize and transceiver transmitting (red light) then it’s not a hardware issue. Please change the polarity of MPO cable (to make MPO cable cross).
Thanks & Best regards;

Hi,
currently it seems to be another cable is required. Currently we had a cross cable. The Cisco PHL wrote the cable should be straight-through.
We will test it soon.

Udo

Hi,
You can change the polarity or mpo cable also (cross to straight & straight to cross). Just like we are doing for lc-lc fiber patch cord. No need to wait for new cable.
Thanks & Best regards

Hi,
do you mean changing the configuration to use a straight or cross cable?
Regarding the Cable it seems to be it cannot changed because we can't open the MPO..
Thanks
Udo
