Dear NetPro gurus,
I'm a newbie on Nexus.
Just curious for a customer who has Nexus 7000, what options can they use to link up to the Nexus 7000 in a LAN environment??
And since they have 3 multiple sites, can the Nexus 7000 be linked together over the WAN?
Thanks so any help in advance.
Cheers,
Hunt

Hi,
For my mind, to link up the N7K to the LAN, you can use etherchannel, VPC if you want, or STP but this last one is not the aim of the Nexus. You can use 10GigabitEthernet link for that.
with 3 multiple site, you can link the N7K together with the OTV technology (L2 over L3 link).

Hello Hunt,
Nexus 7000
1)It supports a consolidated campus LAN and data center core because of its high 10 Gigabit Ethernet density. It requires the Enterprise LAN license, which enables routing functionality
Secondly, you have to enable spaning tree protocol inorder to avoid high risk of looping.
2) OTV can be configured on Nexus 7000 to be linked together over the WAN
