For unicast OTV configuration do you need the command 

                                                            mtu 9216

 

on the link's E1/2 on both side going into the cloud to the other Data Center?

It looks as both options add the extra 42byte size so you’ll need to support the minimum of 1542/1550. I have heard other using a ASR with a 1500 MTU but not on the Nexus 7Ks

What device is your AED an ASR or Nexus 7k?

AED is a 7K.
