Please can someone clarify vpc vlan and non vpc vlan over the peer-link

Please can someone clarify if a vpc vlan is a vpc vlan if its not configured in a vpc port-channel but still gets carried over the vpc peer-link? I have vlans that are not in port-channels in my existing network which is in a VSS setup. Do these VLANs class as non vpc vlans and will need a separate trunk link setting up between my two 9k switches? Or can i switch them over the peer-link?

Any clarification will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mac

This has to do with the Vlan's that you allow over the VPC peer-link. So simply this is for VLAN's that are specified under vPC member ports.

Thanks for response.

So is a vPC vlan only a vPC vlan if it’s in a vPC port-channel (part of a member port)?

Correct!!
