Static routing over VPC's

Pair of 7K's running hsrp for L3 redundancy.  I would like to add this vlan to a VPC from the two 7k's trunked up to a pair of 5010's. Attached to the two 5010's is another VPC to a 3560x with the L3 linknet on the port channel.  I know I can't run a dynamic routing protocol in this configuration, but can I put static routes on the 7k's pointing to the 3560x?

Thanks,

-J

You can use static routes from the 7k pointing to the 3560, and then from the 3560 pointing to the HSRP address of the 7k.

However are your 7k's forming a vPC with your 5ks, or are your 5ks forming a vPC to your 7ks...or both?  Depending on this you may be able to run dynamic routing protocol.  They key is to not form a routing adj over a vpc member link from the 7k's perspective.  So if the 7ks are not creating the vpc, then dynamic routing protocol would be okay.

Hope this helps
