So take routing out of the equation....assume its all L2. If I get a packet on my peer-link and the dest is a vpc member port. I check to see if my peer has his member port up...assume he does. How do I know if you forwarded that packet or not? ...

Hi Colin,You will need to find out if this card has a DFC installed on it and which version. If it is in a chassis now and you can provide the full output of "show mod" we can see it.Chad

Hi Quan,if your IBM server is running active-standby, you should not use vPC to connect to it...just use two individual links. If the NIC is active/active you will want to connect to it though vPC...so configure vpc on the Nexus, and on the server y...

L3 port channels are not supported on vPCs. When connecting to a layer 3 host the best method is to use independent /30 links. Trying to do L3 over a vPC isn't providing any additional redundancy and load balancing can already be achieved over laye...

Hi Mike,The Nexus 5500s do not have the ability to use VDCs. The Nexus 7000s do, so to do something like this you would have to use them.Chad
