HI All,
Just wanted to get and idea about how "vPC works with SVIs"
lets say i have following setup:
N9k-Sw1:(primary on VPC)
interce vla 300
ip address 10.10.10.1/25
N9k-Sw2:(scondary on VPC)
interface vla 300
ip address 10.10.10.2/25
the host(10.10.10.20)/25 from vlan 300 can have only one gateway(lets say 10.10.10.1/25 from N9k-sw1).
what happens when the N9k-sw1 is down ??? which means SVI:10.10.10.1 is down. ryt ?
how host will find its way to FW ?
note:plz find attached diagram

Hi
you will need to configure VRRP/HSRP/GLBP/etc.. on both N9k, also vlan 300 must be allowed on vPC peer link.
We have similar topology and about 100 subnets and VRFs - everything works fine.
