1000BASE-SX inter-connection with Cajun P550

Dear All,

I tried to connect My catalyst 4507R (sup engine II+) 1000BASE-SX with Avaya Cajun P550 1000BASE-SX, the problem is my cisco GBIC has never come up, It always in DOWN DOWN status, I have already force not to negiotiate speed, and disable flowcontrol, but still got the same problem. I have already tested to connect to another cisco catalyst and it works fine, so is there any specific configuration if we want to interconnect with another Vendor?

Did you try autonegotiate mode?

Do you mean you connected the 4507R to another Cat and it worked fine, or do you mean you connected the Avaya to another Cat and it worked fine?

1000BaseSX is not negotiable, so it should come up first time. Are you sure it is not a cable problem, e.g. Rx/Tx reversed?
