I just received a new 1721/WIC-1SHSDL-V2 Bundle. Unfortunately, the WIC-1SHSDL-V2 is NOT recognised. I already tried updating to the most current IOS release 12.3.12. I tried IP, IP/ADSL & IP/ADSL PLUS Feature Sets.
Any suggestions?

12.3.12 is the latest train. Even an IP or IP/ADSL is enough to support this card. Try reseating the card to another WIC slot and see if that helps. Make sure the card fits in properly.
Hope the card is not bad. Do you get any error messages (console messages) when the router boots up. Can you paste the boot sequence.

The card seems to be ok, at least it works fine in an Cisco 3825...
Here's the requested boot log:

After Press RETURN to get started...when you hit enter you usually get a bunch of syslog messages...If the card is not detected for some reason, some error message (syslog) will be there along with these messages..I was interested in taking a look at that..
Did you try a different WIC slot (1721 has two slots)
Are any LEDs lit on the WIC ??
