I have a cisco 1750 router. I just got a wic-1enet card for it. the router meets all the requirements for the card, and the slot 0 ok led is on. when I log into the console port and do "show interfaces" all I get is the fast ethernet that is onboard, and loopback0. ethernet 0 doesn't show up in there. am I doing something wrong or is there something I can do to try and fix the problem?

Please do a show version and check if your ethernet card is listed there. If yes, then the router is recoznising the card and try to reseat it again and possibly a reload after that. Try shut and no shut on the interface as well.

If no, then check the hardware/software requirement of the card.

it doesn't show the ethernet card in the "show version" results. from everything I've read, in the manual and online, it says it should support the card, but only in slot 0.
