James,

I wanted to verify what IOS version and feature set you were running and how much DRAM memory you have? Does the 1760 boot without any modules installed?

no it will not boot with out WICs....

it has 16/32 on memory and I am running a single ADSL wic and

C1700-y7-mz.123-9.bin is the IOS version

That IOS requires 48MB of Dram and 16MB of flash. Confirm you have up to this,
